After all, you want to celebrate, right?
But after that, you started to lose control. Determination is on the drain and you quit and thought about diet is so hard to manage. Another example is, you were having a carbohydrate controlled diet for a month, and noticed only a few pounds dropped, but you were happy with the result, and for a week then on, your weight remained. You were down and depressed and you quit. Motivation flushed. Indeed, there are many factors why a weight loss effort isn’t successful for some – and yet, proved effective for others! Successful people did not get what they want overnight, not even rich people get rich for just 2 days of labor. It is a life time mentality and whole-hearted decision and perseverance. Use your mind to discern the right and wrong moves for the struggle to succeed. Never quit and yet, never give up or give in, even when the weighing scale says you’ve reached your goal of losing 15 pounds. Instead, push yourself some more to ensure that your desired size, shape and weight numbers is reached – and stays that way.
First is behavioral modification. Change your behavior, start to wake up early in the morning, have a thirty minutes or to an hour of exercise, wake up and cook the meals you have planned and eat in moderate amount as you have pleased, food should always be in the kitchen, say no to comfort foods. Live the day, week, month, year you’ve planned to. Second, be motivated and be determined. Write some meal plans together with motivational quotes. Be strong. Instead of thinking of foods, think about diverse activities like watching TV, painting, dancing, singing, anything to make you feel fun. Spend time with good friends. Avoid what you needed to avoid, avoid those negative feedbacks from nonsense people, instead, read inspirational books which will boost your determination and self-esteem. And lastly, have faith. Anything is possible, when you want to and you hope to.
